The Brief:

Sky 3D urgently needed stereographic content so I suggested we film this historic event. I put together a budget and a proposal and once that was approved a director’s treatment of how the day would be captured.

 

Production:

We only had three cameras and two of them were in fixed camera positions. The technical challenges were immense.  I had a roving Steadicam crew and we managed to get from one end of London to the other in a crowd of over a million people! The edit was then turned around in 36 hours so we could get it to air while it was still fresh.
